Substrate Plasma X

Substrate plasma, deficient in factor X (Substrate Plasma X) according to TU 9398-041-05595541-2012" is a kit designed for determining the activity of factor X (F. X) in blood plasma of patients and factor X preparations using a one-stage clotting method. It is suitable for manual methods as well as for use on all types of automatic and semi-automatic coagulometers.

Principle of the method: Upon adding diluted test plasma to substrate-deficient plasma, correction occurs for all clotting factors except factor X. Therefore, the prothrombin time in the clotting test of the mixture of diluted test and substrate plasma, deficient in factor X, depends solely on the activity of factor X in the test plasma. The activity of factor X is determined using a calibration curve of dilutions of a plasma calibrator with a specified activity of factor X.

Composition:

  • Substrate plasma, deficient in factor X, lyophilized (1 ml/vial) – 3 vials. One vial is intended for conducting 20 analyses with an expenditure of 0.05 ml of reagent per analysis.

Interpretation of results: In the normal plasma of healthy individuals, the activity of factor X is 70 — 120%. The activity of factor X in the plasma of patients is determined in the following cases: • Diagnosis of factor deficiencies in hereditary or acquired conditions; • Monitoring therapy with the administration of prothrombin complex preparations; • Detailed monitoring during therapy with oral anticoagulants; • Evaluation of liver function in various pathologies.

Normal and pathological values of factor X activity should be controlled using Control Plasma, code KM-2.
