Substrate Plasma II

Substrate Plasma II, Factor II Deficient (Substrate Plasma II) according to TU 9398-005-05595541-2012. The kit is designed for determining the activity of blood coagulation Factor II (Factor II) in the plasma of patients and Factor II preparations using a one-stage clotting method. It can be used manually, as well as on all types of automatic and semi-automatic coagulometers.

The activity of coagulation Factor II in patient plasma is determined in the following cases:
• Diagnosing deficiencies in factors due to hereditary or acquired conditions;
• Monitoring therapy with the administration of prothrombin complex preparations;
• Detailed monitoring during oral anticoagulant therapy;
• Assessing liver function in various pathologies.

Principle of the Method: Upon adding Factor II-deficient substrate plasma to the diluted test plasma, correction of all coagulation factors occurs except for Factor II. Therefore, the clotting time in the prothrombin time test of the mixture of diluted test plasma and substrate plasma deficient in Factor II depends only on the activity of Factor II in the test plasma. The activity of Factor II is determined using a calibration curve of dilutions of the calibrator plasma with a known activity of Factor II.

Composition: • Factor II-deficient substrate plasma, lyophilized (1 ml/vial) – 3 vials.

One vial is intended for conducting 20 analyses with a consumption of 0.05 ml of the reagent per analysis.

Results Interpretation: In the normal plasma of healthy individuals, the activity of Factor II ranges from 70 to 120%.

The activity of Factor II in patient plasma is determined in the following cases: • Diagnosing deficiencies in factors due to hereditary or acquired conditions; • Monitoring therapy with the administration of prothrombin complex preparations; • Detailed monitoring during oral anticoagulant therapy; • Assessing liver function in various pathologies.

Normal and pathological values of Factor II activity should be monitored using Control Plasma, code KM-2.
