Sodium citrate

Reagent for the Preparation of Blood Stabilizer (Sodium Citrate) according to TU 9398-027-05595541-2009

Designed to obtain a 0.109 M solution of trisodium citrate, which is used to stabilize venous blood during coagulological tests.

Method Principle: Adding a specific amount of citrate ions in the form of sodium citrate to venous blood causes the binding of free calcium in the plasma, thereby blocking the blood clotting process.

Sodium citrate reagent is a transparent colorless liquid, and the concentration of citrate ions in it is in the range of 1.05–1.15 mol/liter.
