The Diacap-P kit is designed for determining prothrombin time, prothrombin ratio, prothrombin index, percentage of prothrombin by Quick, and INR in capillary blood, according to TU 9398-281-05595541-2007.
Prothrombin time determination is a highly sensitive and simple screening test that detects abnormalities in the extrinsic and common pathways of blood coagulation (Factors II, V, VII, and X). It is recommended for:
Method principle: Upon adding an excess of tissue thromboplastin and calcium ions to capillary blood, the fibrin clot formation time depends only on the activity of factors in the extrinsic and common coagulation pathways: I, II, V, VII, X. The time is determined from the moment of adding Renaplastin to capillary blood until the formation of the fibrin clot.
Renaplastin is a water-soluble extract of acetone-dried rabbit brain tissue, stabilized and lyophilized in the presence of calcium chloride, certified according to the International Sensitivity Index (ISI).
One kit is intended for conducting 720 analyses with a consumption of 0.05 ml of Renaplastin per analysis. Normal and pathological values of prothrombin by Quick and INR should be controlled using Control Plasma (pool of healthy donors) (Plasma N), code KM-1.
